Privacy policy

Dealectric is a static informational website. We do not require accounts, we do not sell personal information, and we collect as little as the service needs. Effective October 8, 2026.

Who we are

Dealectric (https://dealectric.com) is operated by Barry Yao, Sunnyvale, California, USA. Contact: hello@dealectric.com.

What we collect

Server and hosting logs: Our hosting provider records the IP address, user-agent string, referring page, requested URL and timestamp of each request, as all web servers do. We use these in aggregate to understand traffic (including which AI assistants read the site) and to detect abuse. Logs are retained for up to 30 days.
Outbound link clicks: When you follow a /go/ link we record the destination, the page you came from, a timestamp and a random click identifier that is passed to the merchant's affiliate network so a resulting purchase can be attributed to Dealectric. We do not receive your name, address or payment details from the merchant — only that a commission-eligible order occurred.
Email: If you email us we keep the correspondence to respond to it.
Analytics: If we use analytics, it is a privacy-respecting, cookie-free service that reports aggregate page views without identifying individuals.

What we do not collect

No accounts, no newsletter list, no advertising trackers, no cross-site profiling, no sale or sharing of personal information for advertising.

Cookies

Dealectric itself sets no cookies. After you click an affiliate link, the merchant and its affiliate network (Impact, Awin, CJ, Rakuten, Partnerize) may set cookies on their domains to attribute your purchase; those are governed by their privacy policies.

Your rights

California residents (CCPA/CPRA): you may request to know what personal information we hold about you and to have it deleted. Because we hold only server logs and email correspondence, requests are typically fulfilled by deleting any email thread that identifies you. We do not sell or share personal information as defined by the CPRA, so there is no opt-out to exercise. EEA/UK residents (GDPR): our legal basis for log processing is legitimate interest (site operation and security); you have the rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction and objection. Children

The site is not directed to children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect information from them.

Changes

We will post changes here with a new effective date.
